PC1 – Common Sense – Einstein – Not So Common
Common sense is often used as a solution by politicians, but it’s not always the best approach.
Albert Einstein said it best – common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age 18. Our everyday assumptions about how the world works are often just deeply ingrained biases picked up in youth. Einstein went further – common sense needs constant reappraisal. We must actively question what we think we know.
I get that.
It’s how I’ve been fortunate enough to receive several patents. What that means for you is simple. When things are broken, I can find solutions.
Combine that with people power and we can make real change for all of us. Not just the uber rich, the very few who use one trope after another trying to divide us. Enough.
The decay we see around us was not caused by people with no money and no political power. We have work to do. I’m Carl Fitzsimmons, your progressive candidate. I ask for your vote during early voting and on June 23rd. Thank you.
PC2 – Health Care A Human Right
Health care reform is crucial for all Americans. The current system is failing, leading to bankruptcy, medical bankruptcy, and the destruction of families. We need a solution that works for everyone, not just a few.
New York’s New Health Act is a single-payer system that would provide affordable, accessible health care to all. It would eliminate co-pays, uncovered costs, and networks, and ensure that doctors and hospitals are available for your choice. This would also reduce costs for municipalities and end the yearly hassle that employers and employees face with the health insurance industry.
Carl Fitzsimmons is your progressive candidate who is dedicated to fighting for health care reform. He has been advocating for this solution for decades and is ready to bring it to the governor’s desk in the first year.
Join Carl Fitzsimmons in supporting the New Health Act and improving health care for all Americans. Vote for him during early voting and on June 23rd.
PC2 – Education
Unfunded School Bus Mandate: Time for Action
Attention Albany: the unfunded school bus mandate is a pressing issue that needs immediate attention. Many districts have already made the transition, benefiting from the increased efficiency and safety it brings. However, those who have not stepped up must replace them.
Early Childhood Professionals: A Growing Need
Early childhood professionals serving children ages 3 to 5 have been drastically cut in numbers over the past seven years. Despite this, the demand for their services has only increased, with the lack of these professionals being a major contributor to the school-to-prison pipeline. These professionals, typically women, are essential for the development of our youngest children. Failure to act now will only create greater costs as these children become adults.
Erosion of Public Schools: The Voucher Program
The erosion of public schools through the voucher program to IDAs for AI is another issue that needs to be addressed. These programs diverge tax revenues from local municipalities and school districts, ultimately harming the education system. It is time for a change.
Join us for a discussion on these critical issues and how we can work together to improve the education system in Albany.

CITIZEN FOCUSED LEADERSHIP
Too often, Albany politics feels disconnected from the everyday realities of District 130. Families are facing rising taxes, overwhelming costs of living, strain on public schools, and frustration with political gridlock.
I am running to give the people of Wayne County and Webster a strong, independent voice — one guided by the needs of our communities, not party insiders or ideological extremes. True leadership means thinking independently, working together, and always being accountable to the people we serve.
I WILL:
I will protect working families, seniors, the disabled & all residents of the 130
Support small businesses, family farms and local jobs
Fight for strong public schools
I will be a strong voice for you in Albany
I will work with you — putting solutions over politics, and District 130 first.
