Born and raised in Wayne County. Running for District 130.
Carl was born at the old Sodus Hospital and raised in Wayne County, graduating from Sodus Central School. Growing up, he worked on local farms — milking cows, baling hay, working muck land, sandy loam and tending orchards — experiences that shaped his lifelong respect for hard work and the people who keep our communities running.
After high school, Carl entered military service, spending 18 months in Panama. There, he saw firsthand the toll trauma takes on service members — long before PTSD was widely understood. That experience continues to inform his commitment to veterans’ care, mental health, and human dignity.
Using the GI Bill, Carl earned an AAS in Electrical Technology from Monroe Community College and pursued advanced studies in computer hardware and software engineering while working at Eastman Kodak. In research and development, he earned a co-patent for a robotic communication system.
When asked to assist in moving production overseas — a decision that would displace local workers — he chose to walk away.
He later worked as a telecommunications specialist and founded Seamless Communications Group in 2005, serving clients that included small businesses, public agencies, and federal courts. His work resulted in multiple patents and software innovations.
Carl has also served his community as Chair of the Town of Sodus and Town of Webster Democratic Committees, a member of the Sodus Point Planning Board, a small-business owner, an assistant scout leader, a youth sports coach, and a longtime Science Olympiad mentor and judge.
Carl and his wife, Jennifer, live in the 130th District and have built their lives across Wayne and Monroe Counties. He has knocked on thousands of doors and spoken with voters across party lines, always guided by one principle: Listen First.
He isn’t running to climb a ladder. He’s stepping up to bring our community’s voice — not Albany’s politics — to the table.
